Plan for future renovations
You probably won’t be able to fix up your entire home before you move in. No worries, home improvement activities are one of the best parts of being a homeowner.

As you get settled into your new home, make a list of all the home improvement projects you would like to complete in the near future, indicating which jobs are urgent. Spread projects out so you don’t overwork yourself or put unnecessary strain on your wallet. Also, be sure to budget for unexpected surprises (e.g.: flooding, a leaky roof, or a furnace that needs replacing), as such problems may crop up over time.
